Residential Services in Comstock Park MI

Residential Services

Homes here sit everywhere from the flats along the river to the rises above Mill Creek, and each one asks for a different plan. We outline gables and porches, wrap entry columns, and set warm white or multicolor runs that fit the way your house faces the street, whether that is Lamoreaux Drive or a quiet cul de sac off 4 Mile Road.

Commercial in Comstock Park MI

Commercial

Storefronts along Alpine Avenue and offices near the US-131 interchange compete for attention all December. A crisp professional display pulls eyes off the highway and into your parking lot. We install after hours, keep entrances clear, and maintain the lights so your business looks sharp through the new year.

About Us
Comstock Park sees our trucks all summer, when our tents cover ballpark tailgates, school fundraisers, and backyard parties from West River Drive to Alpine Avenue. Winter is the same crew with a different ladder rack. We are licensed and insured, we climb with commercial equipment, and we treat your roofline with the same care we give a wedding tent.

Not sure what you want? Ask for a design visit. We walk the property with you, look at peaks, trees, and sight lines from the road, and sketch a display that fits your budget before you commit to anything.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do we need a permit from Alpine or Plainfield Township for holiday lights?

For a typical residential display, no. Comstock Park sits across Alpine and Plainfield Townships, and neither requires a permit for seasonal lighting on your own home. Larger commercial installations with ground displays near a right of way occasionally need a quick sign off, and we handle that conversation for you when it applies.

Can you still stake yard displays once the ground freezes?

Yes. We drive stakes early in the season while the soil allows it, and once frost sets in we switch to weighted bases and hard anchors that hold in frozen turf. Driveway line displays and lit arches can go in all winter without waiting on a thaw.

Do LED bulbs still work during a deep January cold snap?

They do. The commercial LEDs we install are rated well below anything a West Michigan winter delivers, and cold weather actually helps them run efficiently. What fails in extreme cold is cheap retail wiring, which is why we use heavy jacketed cords made for exterior winter duty.

My electrical service drop crosses the roofline. Is that a problem?

It just takes planning. Our installers are trained to keep themselves and the lights a safe distance from overhead service drops, and we route runs so nothing ever contacts or crosses the wire. If a line sits tight to the work area, we adjust the design rather than the safety margin.

Will heavy lake effect snow sitting on the lights damage them?

No. Commercial C9 strands are built to carry snow, and the clips we use hold the line to the shingle edge so drifting snow slides over it rather than dragging it down. After a big storm we are one phone call away if anything looks off.

Can you light our mailbox post and lamp post by the road?

Absolutely. A wrapped lamp post or mailbox gives the display a finished edge at the street, and it is a small addition to any Comstock Park install. We stake low voltage runs well back from the shoulder so nothing interferes with winter plowing.
